What is your relationship with resiliency?
With COVID-19, climate change, and global economic upheavals, we are living in tough times.
As such these tough times force us to look into and question our own ability to recover and bounce back from challenges – also called “resiliency.”
This premise invites the next logical question: What is your relationship with your personal resiliency?
By that, I mean:
· Do you know how resilient you are?
· How familiar you are with your patterns of behaviors in facing and bouncing back from past challenges?
· How is the resiliency question affecting your body and mind today?
Some people look at challenges ahead and say, “Oh I can easily manage that. No problems!” These people might be sleeping well at night and feeling that they got it.
Other people look at challenges ahead and say, “Oh my God. I can barely manage things now. I don’t know how I will manage if I am hit with another challenge in my life." This group of people might be having sleepless nights and facing anxiety and even depression.
So, what is your reaction? Which group do you fall in? Are you feeling overwhelmed or underwhelmed?
